Celtiberica Designs

This idea came about as a result of its creator’s interest in and studies of the Pre-Roman cultures of the Iberian Peninsula. It has taken shape through two kinds of art, designing bronze and silver accessories and creating interesting drawings of maps printed on tee-shirts.

The maps are based on information from Greek and Roman historians who travelled around the Peninsula, and on the large amount of data available from them indicating the locations of the main urban settlements and towns, as well as the approximate territorial boundaries of those times.

The jewelry designs are based on and inspired by the enormous cache of objects found in archaeological excavations in Spain, which includes brooches, scepters, weapons, votive offerings and other objects.
